Conway. Whether you love water sports, golfing, or you are a sportsman, you will
delight in the area's diverse entertainment. Conway is the host to one of the
state's largest festivals, Toad Suck Daze, which attracts thousands each year, and
is held the first weekend each May.
Beaverfork Lake
This 943 acre lake offers swimming, skiing, and fishing for everyone. Located
2 miles north of Conway.

| Lake Conway This 6700 acre lake is
known for its excellent fishing. It is located 2 miles south of Conway.
Laurel Park
Located on Robinson Avenue, this park offers 2 basketball courts, 4 tennis courts,
a softball backstop, an open area for frisbee, football, soccer, etc., a pavilion with
tables, a playground, and a 3/4 mile jogging trail.

| Lake Beaverfork Park This park is located on Lake
Beaverfork. It offers a picnic area, a large pavilion, 2 sanded volleyball courts, a
lighted ballfield with dugouts and a concession stand near the fishing and swimming area.

Gatlin Park
Located off of Tyler Street, this park offers a softball backstop, 2 basketball
courts, 2 tennis courts, and a playground.
Mountain View Park
Located on Siebenmorgen Road, this park offers a lighted ballfield with dugouts, 4
basketball goals, a large picnic area, and a playground.
Airport Park
This park is located at Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street, and offers an unlighted
ballfield with dugouts, a small playground, and picnic tables.
Bainbridge Park
This part is located on Kensington Street, and offers a pavilion, 2 basketball goals
and a playground.

| Toad Suck Park
Located on the Arkansas River and accessible by Hwy 60, this park is the site of an
early river crossing dating back to 1820. The Toad Suck Ferry derived its name from
a story that, in the steamboat days, there was a saloon on the banks of the river where
steamboat hands, passengers, and local inhabitants stopped to shake their thirst.
According to the story, this led a traveler to say, "Those fellows suck at the bottle
until they swell up like toads." The park facilities include camping and picnic
areas, boat launching ramps, and fishing.

| Cadron Settlement Park Located 5 miles west of
Conway off Hwy 64 on the Arkansas River, this park was originally the site of a French
Trading Post in the 1700's. A post office was established at Cadron about 1816. It
was declared a National Historical Site in 1974. The area includes a boat-launching
ramp, hiking trails, picnic areas, historical murals, markers and interpretive signs.

Whether you are a traditional student or interested in continuing
education and
professional development, as a Conway resident you'll have access to a
number of excellent higher learning institutions all located within a short commuting
distance. The University of Central Arkansas
(UCA)
is the largest educational institution in the city with an enrollment of more than 10,000
students. Located just minutes from downtown Conway, UCA offers undergraduate and
master's degrees in many areas of study including music, education, business, science, and
nursing.

Conway is also the home of 2 four-year colleges.
Hendrix College is one of the finest liberal arts
colleges in the nation; Central Baptist College is sponsored by the Baptist
Missionary Association of Arkansas.Residents have access to several public and
university libraries including the Faulkner County Library, Bailey Library at Hendrix
College & The Torreyson Library at UCA. |

| The Conway School District has
eight (K-5) elementary schools: Ellen Smith, Florence Mattison, Ida Burns, Julia Lee
Moore, Sallie Cone, Marguerite Vann, Jim Stone and Theodore Jones. There are four
secondary schools: Carl Stuart Middle School and Bob Courtway Middle School (6-8), Conway
High School (9-10) and Conway Senior High School (11-12). The district also serves
students and adults of Conway and surrounding districts through an area Vocational
Education Center located at the senior high school complex. Basic literacy services and
GED preparation are offered at the Conway Adult Education Center. |
